The following TED talk, given by Simon Sinek, describes how it is that inspiring leaders inspire action & why some people are able to achieve things when others are not. He explains the “Golden Circle”, a new way of looking at how people approach what they do. He also discusses why Apple Computer was successful because they thought differently than most companies.
Simon explains why some leaders are able to inspire where others aren’t.
Everybody knows WHAT they do 100%. Some know HOW they do it. But very few people or organizations know WHY they do it. People don’t buy what you do; they buy why you do it.
And I don’t mean to make a profit, that’s the result. It’s the “why”, why do you do it, why do you get out of bed in the morning, and why should people care.
Inspiring leaders & organizations all think, act, and communicate the opposite from everyone else. Instead of thinking of the outside in, they think from the inside out.
Watch this short inspiring video that could change the way you look at what you do.
Inspiring leaders definitely think differently than average leaders. I would love to hear your thoughts.
I can really take this message to my interview clients and explain to them how to connect to the company they want to work for. The clearer they are about why they want to work there and their passion for their job and company, the better chance of them getting the job. Trying to convince somoneof your passion for their company is so much easier connecting on an emotional level rather than an intellectual level.
I love your website. I have never seen a website with as many great articles and videos about motivation in the workplace! Thanks!
